refinery29 reveals what’s next for hyde

In an interview with refinery29, L’Arc~en~Ciel’s hyde revealed that the band plans to return to their solo/side projects post-world tour. While this will as no surprise to those following the band for any amount of time during the last decade, the fact that hyde seems to be going back to his solo project rather than VAMPS is big news for fans of his more unique releases, such as FAITH or Roentgen. Will we be getting another Roentgen? Hyde has expressed interest in returning to the concept in the future before.

As always, stay tuned for future developments! The next year may prove to be as exciting as the current.

NEWS! From Natalie - a best-of-DVD and a tribute album!!!

L'Arc~en~Ciel have announced that they will be releasing a live-best DVD "LIVE TWENITY" together with a tribute album "L'Arc~en~Ciel TRIBUTE" on the 13th June.

"LIVE TWENITY" will be a collection of 20 tracks chosen from their numerous lives in the band's history. Never-seen-before footage will also be included as a bonus track. Details such as the packaging and track list will be revealed at a later date.

The "L'Arc~en~Ciel TRIBUTE" album which will be released on the same date will be the first tribute album for the band, featuring tracks covered by worldwide artists. Big artists such as BOYZ II MEN, Clementine, Daniel Powter, Eric Martin, JOHN 5, Maxi Priest, Orianthi, TLC, Vince Neil, and ZEBRAHEAD are on the line up and are set to perform L'Arc's classics with their own sound.

Day 2 of the USJ live has been updated in the note below! Apparently the shops all round the park today were selling out of Elmo T-shirts... I bet!!!

And as for random bits of news this week, L'Arc will have an exhibition at the Yokosuka Museum of Art ( http://www.yokosuka-moa.jp/ ) between the 9th June and 8th July which is going to be exhibiting things like the members' instruments, costumes, photos, movies, CD jackets etc etc, as well as showing footage of lives, the world tour, and curiously "A message from the artists for the future"... I WANT TO GO!!!
